Les Lalanne is an exhibition presented by Paul Kasmin Gallery and designed by studioMDA in 2017.The exhibition features 25 works by the pioneering French Sculptors, Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne taking over two rooms of the gallery. The design highlights the contrasts between light and shadow therefore allocating the sculptures into a light and dark room respectively. The lighter room invites the viewer to inhabit a space of shadow play and is dedicated to the furniture pieces inspired by the elements of flora. The dark room creates a habitat for sculptures inspired by nature and fauna.
