Architectural Design Intern
We are seeking a full-time intern to join studioMDA immediately at our New York office.
The ideal candidate should have:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited university
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) is a plus
• Strong design skills and critical thinking
• Responsible, organized, detail-orientated, self-motivated

Architectural Marketing Intern
studioMDA is seeking an Architectural Marketing Intern to join our team immediately. The position requires expertise in graphic representation as well as the ability to effectively collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment. Working closely with the design team, the Architectural Marketing Intern will create marketing and communications materials for different projects.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Managing the development and production of proposal, qualification, and presentation packages
• Executing marketing and communication initiatives, including the creation of supporting collateral
• Collaborating with in-house teams to craft submission materials
• Tracking and maintaining a collection of all marketing materials such as emails, advertising, photograph, press clips, etc.
• Help prepare and design internal and external reports and maintain database
• Manage social media platforms and website
• Assisting with digital & creative projects, including photography, graphic design, etc.
• Coordinate and design any booklets made in studio
Requirements:
• Excellent written and communications skills
• Graduated or seeking a degree in architecture, design or similar.
• Excellent graphic sensibility and attention to detail
• Proficiency in: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Knowledge of: CAD, Rhino, Sketchup

studioMDA is a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm, based in New York and founded in 2002 by Markus Dochantschi with the mission of challenging the boundaries of design.
studioMDA has worked extensively across the United States and internationally in countries such as Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, Germany, Peru, Chile, Cambodia, The Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi. The firm’s work includes a wide range of typologies, including both high-end and affordable residential, cultural, commercial, institutional, mixed-use, and architectural design competitions. studioMDA has won numerous awards and has been published widely. The firm has emerged as an authority on cultural buildings and has worked extensively with renowned art collectors, artists and gallerists to design more than a dozen art galleries and countless art booths and exhibitions, including three galleries for Paul Kasmin Gallery (New York), Bortolami Gallery (New York), Anton Kern Gallery (New York), Lisson Gallery (New York), Dirimart Gallery (Istanbul), Carpenters Workshop Gallery (New York), Richard Taittinger Gallery (New York), Nahmad Contemporary (New York), 303 Gallery (New York), Collectorspace (Istanbul) and David Nolan Gallery (New York).
Currently, the office is expanding its portfolio of cultural projects with the new Paul Kasmin Gallery and the High Line Nine Galleries, opening in October of 2018 in New York’s Chelsea Gallery District. Work is ongoing on the new Andrew Kreps Gallery in Tribeca, the Faurschou Foundation in Brooklyn, and a private art museum in Thailand, as well.
Markus Dochantschi
Prior to starting studioMDA, Markus worked for Zaha Hadid Architects from 1995 to 2002. In this role, he ran her office and led many projects, including acting as Head Project Architect on the Rosenthal Contemporary Arts Center in Cinncinati. He also worked for Fumihiko Maki immediately after finishing his studies. Markus was trained as an architect in Germany, where he graduated with a master of architecture from the Technische Universität Darmstadt. He has taught an Advanced Studio at Yale University with Zaha Hadid, Stefan Behnisch and Gerald Hines (2003), and an Advanced Studio at Columbia University’s Graduate School for Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP) from 2008 until now. Markus has also served as the director of the Global Cities Architecture Program (GCAP) at GSAPP. He has been a Guest Lecturer at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (GSD) and a guest critic at the AA London; Columbia University, NY; The Cooper Union, NY; University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; Princeton University, Princeton; the ETH Zurich, Switzerland; the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst Vienna, Austria.
